Courses
Choose a course to match what you want students to do: learn Python broadly, or learn enough to build their first game-playing program. Each exercise includes starter code, hints and automatic tests, giving students feedback as they practise.
Choose a starting point
| Course | Good for |
|---|---|
| Python Fundamentals | A broad beginner course covering printing, variables, decisions, loops, lists, dictionaries and functions. |
| Python Foundations for Greedy Pig | A short route to writing a Greedy Pig agent. |
| Python Skills for Arena Champions / Lineup 4 | Learning the Python needed for those games. |
An agent is a Python program that makes decisions and plays a game on its own.
Preview and assign
Open the Short Course Library on your Teacher home page to try a course as a student. Preview attempts are not saved.
Choose courses when creating a classroom, or change them in Settings → Save Short Courses. Students see the courses assigned to that classroom.
What students see
Students open Short Course from their menu. Each exercise shows its status and the concepts it practises. The Course guide links to short lessons explaining those concepts.

Use the concept map to plan the teaching sequence. During a lesson, use Short Course Progress to find stuck students and Concepts to decide what to reteach.
